    Anatomy

    Uses the native select and option elements so platform keyboard, mobile picker, and form behavior remain intact.

    Consumer classes, styles, and data attributes may extend the surface, but required roles, IDs, relationships, and handlers remain owned by the component.

    Keyboard

    • Tab focuses the select.
    • Arrow keys and type selection follow the browser and platform contract.
    • Alt+Arrow or Space may open the platform picker according to the browser.
