    Uses a labelled listbox with option descendants; focus and selection remain distinct and one option is tabbable.

    Consumer classes, styles, and data attributes may extend the surface, but required roles, IDs, relationships, and handlers remain owned by the component.

    Keyboard

    • Tab enters at the selected or first enabled option.
    • Arrow Up/Down, Home, and End move focus and wrap according to the behavior kernel.
    • Typing performs locale-aware buffered typeahead.
    • Enter or Space selects the focused option.
